The store offers a carefully chosen selection of eco-conscious products for families that are both affordable and environmentally friendly. The company screens and periodically reviews their assortment of products to ensure they meet the company's green procurement criteria.
WHERE
The store is located within the Marda Loop BRZ of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The retail location is based in a house. Online shopping is offered through Edamamekids.com.
WHEN
The store opened for business in June 2010.
WHY
The company's owner, Amanda Barker, wanted to do her part in encouraging and promoting an affordable and eco-conscious lifestyle for families. By helping other parents, she hopes their young kids will grow up with a curiosity to become environmentally conscious, become interested in recycling, and perhaps question how things are made too.
